I would really appreciate someone getting me past the final hurdle so that I can simply use my 721 cutter with Inkcut.
I have been using the cutter with Signcut and now that the subscription has expired I want to swap over to Inkcut for obvious reasons.
After an embarrassing amount of hours installing Inkscape and Inkcut they both appear to be working independently on my Windows 10 machine but when I try to send to the cutter it returns "com 3 closed by request".
I have tried using the usb-serial ch340 that came with the cutter and MH-712 installed with Inkcut with the same result.
I'm sure this is a simply fix for someone so I apologise if I'm on a basic level for you guys but I would really like to move forward as I want to use it for making 3d low poly art in welded aluminium and some fun stuff for my grandchildren.

    Windows 10, Python 3.13, Visual Studio 2022,
Connection settings USB-serial ch340, baud 9600, byte size 8, parity none, stopbits 1, xon/xoff, language hpgl.
I think I have tried everything including setting Inkcut to run as administrator and turned off usb power management which was an AI suggestion.
    Thanks
