Is it possible to add multiple passes to cutting options? Some thicker materials require multiple passes to cut through.

It's doable. By multiple passes were you thinking of repeating the entire cut multiple times or repeating each subpath of the cut multiple times?
Tracking may become an issue on lower quality machines.
Have you tried using the return to origin and running multiple cuts? That's what I currently do with my engraver.

I was thinking each subpath, since repeating the whole cut after returning to origin may not be accurate if there is a slight shift.
