Should we drop python 2? It depends if anyone is still using it.. so are you?
I think it can also help a lot troubleshooting (for idiots like me).
I am a total n00b when it comes to linux (even if i am using it since about 2009, all i was good to was to wreck it spectacularly whenever i tried to dip my fingers in the terminal.)
For me it has been all gui, and i know it's a shame.
Long story short, of three machines i have (an eeepc901, a desktop amd64, and a rpi3) i managed to install it correctly only on the desktop. By accident. After doing really stupid things like googling for errors at the first try and follow directions like "try to upgrade pip, use pip with sudo, instal $whatever_random_package".
