Several domestic hobby plotter like Cricut, Silhoutte, Brother.. have a Print&Cut option.
This means:
1. The cutting object(s) are printed (Laser/ink) on a special sheet of paper with special registration marks
2. The printed sheet is placed on a sticky cutting mat
3. The plotter searches for the registrations marks and starts cutting the object(s) at its/their outline(s)
Print&Cut is supported from the inkscape-silhoutte plugin for inkscape <= 0.92.5 and Silhoutte Cameo(1)/Portrait.
For newer Silhouette plotters it seems to work only partially.
