    Hey guys. I've been using Flexisign Pro for years and have just moved over to a Linux desktop. I tried getting FS working under Wine but I'm having trouble with com ports so I decided to give Inkcut a try.

    I've got a SeikiTech SK-720H connected via physical serial port. I've tried the SeikiTech SK-870T profile but could not get the cutter to move. I also tried generic device and could not get it working either. I'm confident that my com port is /dev/ttyS0:

    $ sudo setserial -g /dev/ttyS0
    /dev/ttyS0, UART: 16550A, Port: 0x03f8, IRQ: 4
    $ uname -a
    Linux office 5.0.0-37-generic #40~18.04.1-Ubuntu SMP Thu Nov 14 12:06:39 UTC 2019 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

    Can anyone give me suggestions on what to try? I'm not seeing any errors though I'm not sure where those would even be logged. Any help would be most appreciated.

    Did you try all of the different protocols in the settings?

    Yes. I did try all that were listed for the SeikiTech SK-870T .

    I would guess that the SeikiTech SK-720T and SK-720H (mine) would be very similar. Is the assumption that I should use the SK-870T settings?

    Back again. I am able to use my cutter with Flexisign running under Wine. I still can not figure out how to get inkcut to work. Does anyone have any suggestions? I know that someone has added the SK-720T to the list and would love to know what settings were used. I wouldn't image it would be drastically different from my SK-720H.

    What connection type does it use? Is it a serial port?

    Some cutters need a special init command, if you could get a trace from the flexi output it would be helpful.

    Thanks for the tip. Yes, it does use serial. Any chance you can tell me how to snoop on the flexi output? I'm guessing I should be able to do this via terminal and then send the cut command from Flexi?

    You can try Portmon or wireshark.

    Another tool that works is VSPE.
