Hello, happy to be making my first post in this forum.

I recently took it upon myself to resurrect an old Gerber fastrack 1300 plotter. After a lot of troubleshooting I managed to make the machine run on a demo of ANOTHER SOFTWARE, I would prefer to use ink cut but the program doesn't truly support my plotter.

I can sort of plot directly from inkscape through the export tab, but no matter where I place the text it keeps coming out stuck in the corner and running off the edge of the vinyl. Other than that everything seems to be plotting out perfectly. I should mention that this is using the drivers for a Roland PNC. The generic driver works similar but worse. Since I couldn't get it to plot anywhere but too far into the corner I tried to see if ink cut would fare any better, unfortunately, ink cut tells me my com Port is not open despite the fact that it is open, and functions with the other softwares.

I've done a bunch of diagnostics on the com ports and it almost seems like Windows is blocking ink cut for security reasons but I don't know how to verify that.

Any information about my issues with ink cut or inkscape would be greatly appreciated.

I am also extremely interested to know if anyone has information about extracting the proper drivers and making them available to inkscape

    Thank you in advance
