    Thanks for Inkcut!

I am looking for a way to use a layer (maybe) in Inkscape for reference only. If I have a square that is 100mmx100mm and place a 20mm circle somewhere inside the square, I would like for Inkcut to load the square starting at x0,y0 to help place the circle at its correct coordinates. I only want to cut the circle out of vinyl, though. If I select the Layer tab and deselect the layer which the square is in, the circle then moves to x0,y0. That doesn't work.

    Thanks for any insight.

There is a pending pull request that adds an option to prevent shifting to the origin, which I think will do what you want.

You can try the code here github.com/inkcut/inkcut/pull/270 . If that works let me know and I can merge it in.

Can this be merged? I don't know how to do that.

I'd find it useful for sending tool paths separately to a CNC so that tool changes can be done. Also because I want to engrave on an object at specfic location.
